Jean-Louis Wertz started shooting climbing pictures after his photography studies in Liège, Belgium in1999. Before that, he was too busy climbing himself to take any photos. He mostly photographs friends of him and likes the reportage style, to show authenticity. For Jean-Louis, his passion is a way to participate in the action, a way to live special moments with his subjects. He took part in several climbing expeditions, mainly with Belgian climbers: “Patagonia Dreams”, “Venezuela Jungle Jam”, “La délicatesse du poil”. He also made a short video “Recovery Drink” in Norway for an outdoor brand.
