Born in 1980, he got completely fascinated with mountains in 1997 and in subsequent years was lucky enough to deal with climbing only. He spent the years 2004-2009 on climbing in all corners of the world, even for 200-250 days a year! He managed to open new routes and make many repetitions in the mountains of Alaska, Greenland, Patagonia, the USA and Canada, the Alps, Karakoram, and the Himalayas. In 2010 together with two disabled people he climbed the famous El Capitan in Yosemite. Before he had climbed the wall nine times, each of the routes was either the first Polish repetition or the fastest Polish ascent. In 2012, together with friends, as the second Polish climbers in history they climbed one of the most difficult and challenging cliffs of the world- Nameless Tower in Pakistan. In the same year, after several years of training, he acquired the qualifications of the IVBV/IFMGA/UIAGM mountain guide. For the last several winters he has been skiing, especially ski touring, as often as climbing. When he is not in the mountains, he prepares materials for “Góry” magazine, where he works as an editor. His publications have appeared in “Taternik” and in foreign mountain magazines such as: “Climbing” and “American Alpine Journal”. For several years he has also been a consultant as well as gear and clothing tester. Currently he is an athlete of the following companies: ARCTERYX, PETZL, LYO FOOD, Five Ten, Julbo, MajestySkis. He served a social function of the vice-president of the Polish Mountaineering Association (PZA). Being a member of the Polish Mountaineering Association Training Committee, he worked as the staff at instructor courses. He was one of the originators and guardians of the Youth Group of the PZA, in which young climbers introduce themselves to mountaineering. Since 2009 he has been a TOPR rescuer (Tatra Mountain Volunteer Rescue Service). Happily married to Kasia, father of Helenka and Jaś. Recently, his home has been Zakopane or Chamonix.
