
Bartosz Malinowski
mountain guide. Works in the Nepal Himalayas as a leader, trek and expedition organizer and a mountain guide. In 2007 he hiked 2500 km following the Carpathian Arc from the southern Romania to Bratislava. In 2010 he co-organized a journey in the footsteps of Witold Gliński’s great escape from a Soviet Gulag – “Long Walk Expedition” from Yakutsk to Calcutta in India. Within 6 months he walked 8 thousand km through Yakutia, Siberia, Mongolia, China, Tibet, Nepal and the Himalayas, regularly reporting to the Polish Radio Three. He observes and keeps track of changes in the life of nomads in Mongolia in Central Asia and Afghanistan. In 2013 he walked the Chadar Ice Road on the frozen Zanskar River in the Indian Himalayas. The author and coordinator of the Great Himalayan Trail 2015-2019 within the framework of which he travelled along with Joanna Lipowczan over 2500 km traversing the Nepal, India, and Kashmir Himalayas.
