
Roman Hryciów
Born in 1953 in Bolesławiec. In 1972 he became a member of the Jelenia Góra Photographic Society, and in 1979 – the head of its Photo Gallery. He is the originator and organiser of the first three editions of the Biennale of Mountain Photography, which still exists today. He has participated in many competitions and group exhibitions. Winner of about 100 awards and honourable mentions at exhibitions in Poland and abroad. In 1979-84 he participated in several climbing expeditions to the Himalayas, which resulted in individual exhibitions and diaporamas, among others, : Annapurna’79, Children of Asia, Nepal, China’81, Caravan, Asian pictures. Since 2000 he has been working as a freelance photographer. He lives in Bielsko-Biała.
