Adrian Marciszak
Adrian Marciszak was born in Jarocin, currently lives in Wroclaw. He studied biology at the University of Wrocław, where in the final year he completed master thesis entitled “Carnivore mammals (Carnivora, Mammalia) from Żabia Cave”. In 2008, he began doctoral studies and in 2010 commenced working at the Institute of Palaeozoology of the University of Wrocław. He is interested in palaeozoology of the vertebrates (mainly fossil carnivores) and archeozoology. PhD thesis entitled: “Mustelids (Mustelidae, Carnivorans, Mammalia) from Pleistocene of Poland” which is the monograph summarising the existing knowledge about that group in Poland.
He also carries a widespread action promoting issues of teriology and paleontology. He participates in regular actions organized by the University of Wrocław, such as The Night of Biologists or The Night of Museums, runs workshops, for example Kids University, as well as lectures for children, youth and adults. Adrian publishes press releases and popular science articles bringing the subject, like: “Sudecki bestariusz drapieżników”/“Sudecki Bestiary of Predators ” in the “Sudety” journal.
