Bartosz Gorczyca
Born on September 2, 1991. Comes from a small village of Skołyszyn in the Subcarpathia (Podkarpacie). He took the first steps in sport after graduating from a junior high school. Training took place in the local club-ULKS Technik Trzcinica under the watchful eye of a coach Tomasz Wojtas who recognised his talent during provincial Junior High School Games where Bartosz won a 1000 m run. Later focus on his main discipline- 3000 m steeplechase allowed him to win a bronze medal at the Polish Championships in that discipline. Fate, as well as his further choices, directed him towards longer distances. Currently a runner of the Salco Garmin Team and since 2018 member of the Petzl Poland Team.
A self-styled mountain runner, ultramarathoner and coach. A representative of the Polish mountain running team and multi-medallist of Polish Championships. Winner of the most important national mountain and ultra runs such as: Bieg Ultra Granią Tatr, Karkonosze Winter Ultramarathon, 7 Valley Run, Łemkowyna Ultra Trail, Bieszczady Ultramarathon and many others. Successful also abroad: winner of the Marimurumendi Marathon in 2017 and Paklenica Trail International in 2016. In 2016 he came 14th in the Skyrunning World Championships. Passionate about hiking and biking, in love with the Low Beskids.
