Jakub Brzosko
Deputy director of Mountain Film Meetings in Zakopane, co-creator of the festival since its beginnings in 2005. Member of the film jury at festivals in Graz and Banff. Rescuer and mountain guide in the Tatras. Filmmaker, author of documentaries: “Foehn” (Halny), “Hanka”, “Fathers and Sons” (Ojcowie i synowie). He is currently working on a film about Marcin Gąsienica Kotelnicki, a climber from Zakopane. Passionate about ski touring. Once member of the Polish ski mountaineering team; winner of the Polish Cup in ski mountaineering; participant — together with Grzegorz Bargiel — of the iconic Pierra Menta and Patrouille des Glaciers competitions. He is mesmerized by the magic of mountains but also by the sea (he is, among others, a holder of the Croatian skipper license) and the prose works of Edgar Allan Poe. Community worker, a happy man, husband and father. He dreams of forming his own rock band and sailing around the world.
