Krzysztof Starnawski
(born in 1968) a rescuer of the Tatra Volunteer Search and Rescue (TOPR), extreme diver, traveller, organizer of expeditions and adventure rallies, constructor of deep diving equipment. The winner of Kolos for 1999 in the category “Feat of the Year” and Kolos 2016 in the category “Cave Exploration” for discovering the deepest cave in the world, Hranicka Propasti (404 m). For this achievement he was also awarded the “Traveller Award” 2016 and was in the forefront of the “National Geographic Adventurer of the Year”. World record holder in diving with a closed circuit in open water (Egypt, the Red Sea, 2011, 283 m) and in a cave (Albania, Viroit, 2016). Born near Warsaw, currently lives in Krakow, though spends most of his time travelling, ripping out last deepest secrets of the Earth.
