Lecz Flaczynski
German philologist, translator, mountaineer and traveller, competes in MTB marathons, travels by a folding canoe on the rivers of the Far North.
In 2005 alone canoed down the powerful Yukon in Alaska, 3100 km in 59 days.
30 years of climbing have resulted in numerous routes in the Tatras, Alps, Himalayas, mountains of Alaska and Canada. This year, despite being 69 years old, he reached ca 8450 m on Makalu-only a dozen metres from the top.
In his expeditions he successfully combines two elements- mountains and water, climbing difficult and high peaks and rafting on wild and inaccessible rivers. He prefers the Far North over tropics, finding there escape from the everyday life.
During the Festival he will show the following presentation: Polish Family Expedition – MAKALU 2018
