Trained as a chemist, works as a journalist, an enthusiast of climbing and a scuba diving. He graduated from Chemistry at the University of Warsaw, studied film directing, screenplay writing and film production  at Harvard and MIT. Vice President of the Polish branch of The Explorers Club- an elite New York organization of travellers and explorers, he took part in exploratory expeditions on five continents. Speaker at the TED Conference, former Editor -in -Chief of National Geographic Poland, awarded with the Knight Foundation scholarship. A photographer, author of two films, five books and hundreds of articles from the field of travelling and popular science.
