Born in 1968 in Łódź. In his youth, an “eternal student” (medicine, geography, computer science). He had various professions, from working at heights, through IT industry, his own company organising incentive events, to journalism. In private life: a loner, passionate about S-F literature, the best friend of all kinds of four-legged pets, amateur photographer. His big adventures started in 1996. Chosen from several thousand candidates, Michał participated in the legendary Camel Trophy expedition.  The route crossed the Indonesian part of the Borneo Island from east to west. It was the first expedition which travelled the route by off-route vehicles. Over time, numerous expeditions to closer and further corners of the world have become his passion. He trekked through different corners of Europe, the Americas, East Asia, Australia, North Africa. For 15 years he has been involved in adventure racing. An ultra-runner.
