Kolejny Przegląd Filmów Górskich w Lądku Zdroju (11–13 września 1998) uświetnili obecnością m.in. Anna Pietraszek, Piotr Młotecki, Szymon Wdowiak, Krzysztof Wielicki, Andrzej Zawada. Nagrodę publiczności zdobył film Anny Pietraszek „W cieniu Everestu”. Filmy Szymka Wdowiaka wsparł interesującą gawędą Piotr Młotecki. Przy nabitej sali wyświetlano reportaże Jerzego Surdela z Antarktydy, a także filmy Ryszarda Pawłowskiego „Torres del Paine” i „Akcja na Nanga Parbat”.
